How does Bestlin work?

Mahanarayan thailam - 10ml in every 25ml of Bestlin contains about 50 herbal ingredients. The main effective ingredient is Asparagus racemosus (Shatavari), hence the name Narayana taila. Narayana taila is well known for external massage in vata diseases. It alleviates vata and pitta doshas and augments kapha dosha. Topically, it decimates the burning sensation and being balya and shamaka, it works well in vata disorders. Other ingredients like Bilva, Agnimantha, Ashwagandha, Rasna, Koshtha etc., are potent vata alleviators. The external application as a massage strengthens the muscles; hence it is useful in paralysis, sciatica, joint pain, neuralgia, low back pain etc.

Deodar oil - 2.5ml in each 25ml of Bestlin is being traditionally used for its anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties in Ayurveda. Recent preclinical studies on the Volatile oil of Cedrus deodara reveals that the anti-inflammatory activity of Cedrus deodara wood oil could be attributed to its mast cell stabilizing activity and the inhibition of leukotriene synthesis.

Nilagiri thailam - 2.5ml in each 25ml of Bestlin contains not less than 60% w/w of cineole. It is a powerful anti-septic and decongestant. It alleviates inflammation generally and is helpful in treating rheumatism, muscular aches and pain and fibrositis. It is a diuretic and deodorant with strong anti-viral and immune stimulating properties and is an effective local painkiller especially nerve pain.

Gandhapura thailam - 2.5ml in each 25ml of Bestlin, or otherwise called as Oil of Gaultheria, or Gandhapura oil is derived via steam distillation. It contains methyl salicylate, which is antiseptic, analgesic, carminative and antirheumatic. Oil of wintergreen has aspirin-like properties, is a stimulant, diuretic, tonic & astringent.

Tarpain thailam - 1.25ml in each 25ml of Bestlin has anti-septic, diuretic qualities. It also acts as an astringent. It is used as a rub for sore joints and muscles. The oil is also valued for its ability both to stimulate the circulation and relax the nervous system and having the tonic effect on the whole body. The wood and bark of the plant is used. It also has a heating, drying effect on the body.

Mash thailam - 1.25ml in each 25ml of Bestlin, has the main effective ingredient is Phaseolus radiatus. It is a potent vata dosha alleviator. Masha is anabolic especially to muscle tissue. Useful in nervous debility & muscular pain. Applied in hemiplegia and paralytic condition effectively.

Karpoor - 2.5gms in each 25ml of Bestlin is frequently employed for its twin analgesic and anti-septic qualities. It alleviates joint and muscle pain, arthritis, rheumatism and gout. It is a counter irritant, carminative and antipruritic.

Vatanashak thailam - 2.5ml in each 25ml of Bestlin is also called as Dashamoolam (The ten roots) which are the most widely used herbs in the treatment of all diseases of Vata. They are also specifically used as nervine tonics and also vary useful in relieving the paralysis.
